Patrick Burkhardt was born in Göppingen. From 1999 to 2001 he was a young student at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in the class of Prof. Rudolf Gleißner. He was a multiple state and national prize winner at "Jugend musiziert" and received 1st prize at the "2nd Youth Music Prize Stuttgart" in 2000. He attended master classes and workshops with Michael Flaksman, Wolfgang Boettcher, Eberhard Finke, Philippe Muller at the "Kronberg Cellofestival", with the Petersen Quartett, as well as with the Vogler Quartett. In 2006 he graduated with distinction from the Stuttgart Musikhochschule (Prof. Rudolf Gleißner). Afterwards he began a "soloist class" study. From 2007 to 2009 he spent one year each with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra of the SWR. In 2010 he won 2nd prize with the Amir Quartet at the "Carl Wendling Competition" for chamber music. Patrick Burkhardt has been a member of the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn since January 2010.
