The Württemberg Chamber Orchestra of Heilbronn is supported by the Orchestral Society of Heilbronn. It currently has 118 members and an annual budget of €2.7 million.

The society’s first chairman was Heilbronn industrialist Kurt Lichdi. He was succeeded in 1979 by Hermann Bosch, chairman of the board of local bank Kreissparkasse Heilbronn. Since 2003, its chairman has been Werner Grau, who until 2000 was the Mayor of Heilbronn.
